Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Barkevo platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Barkevo is an online marketplace that connects dog owners ("Owners") with dog walking and pet sitting professionals ("Walkers"). Barkevo facilitates bookings and payments but is not itself a party to service agreements between Owners and Walkers.
3. User accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
4. Bookings and payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By booking a Walker, you authorise Barkevo to charge your payment method the agreed amount. Funds are held by Barkevo until the service is completed. The platform fee (currently 12%) is deducted from the Walker's payout.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. Barkevo reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion in cases of dispute.
6. Conduct
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to post false or misleading information, to harass or harm other users, or to attempt to circumvent the platform by conducting transactions outside of Barkevo.
7. Limitation of liability
Barkevo acts as an intermediary platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barkevo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including any harm to a pet during a booking.
8. Changes to terms
Barkevo reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
